Many years ago women were not allowed into science and engineering. Some women were not celebrated for their own art or inventions! We will look back and celebrate the women who were first recognised and recorded for their inventions. And with some of their inventions we celebrate with art!

27th June - Women in engineering week
Many years ago women were not allowed into science and engineering. Some women were not celebrated for their own art or inventions! We will look back and celebrate the women who were first recognised and recorded for their inventions. We will celebrate these inventions make our use in the art and craft world and create some great pieces art and sculpture.
We will explore the Q tip invention and the story behind its invention, we will create art following some simple directions.
Alongside this we will look and talk about the coffee filter and again make some creations in the form of beautiful flowers and butterflies. By adding fun inks patterns and cutting techniques we explore and reinvent.
